Katie Wilcox, MA, BCBA, LBA

Founder/Regional Clinical Director

Katie Wilcox is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked in the ABA field for nearly 7 years. Katie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Latin American and Iberian Studies from University of Richmond.  She went on to work at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s L.E.A.P Program while simultaneously earning her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University.  Katie has been a BCBA and a Virginia Licensed Behavior Analyst since 2013.  Katie has worked with a variety of learners, ages 2-60, in public-school, private-school, in-home, and career settings.  Katie’s areas of expertise include behavioral assessments, behavior plan development and implementation, decreasing problem behaviors, functional communication, and increasing functional life skills. She is a firm believer in using evidence-based practice and making data-driven decisions. Katie loves spreading the science of Applied Behavior Analysis to others through trainings, and believes ABA can have a positive impact on everyone’s lives!

Jordan Fries, MS, BCBA, LBA

Clinical Director

Jordan Fries is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked in the ABA field for nearly 7 years. Jordan received her Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health with a minor in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis from George Mason University.  She went on to work at a private day school for children with developmental disabilities while simultaneously earning her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Shenandoah University.  Jordan has been a BCBA and a Virginia Licensed Behavior Analyst since 2015.  Jordan has worked with a variety of learners, ages 2-22, in school and home settings.  Jordan's areas of expertise include reduction of maladaptive behaviors, using functional communication, and increasing communication skills using verbal behavior principles. Jordan loves attending conferences in the ABA field as well as collaborating with other fields. Jordan loves working with her clients and watching their progress grow with the use of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

​Britney Casey, MA, BCBA, LBA

Assistant Clinical Director

Britney Casey is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has been working in the field of ABA since 2014. Britney received her Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in special education from James Madison University in 2014, her Master's degree in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University in 2015, and completed her coursework in ABA with the Florida Institute of Technology in 2017. Britney has been a BCBA and a Virginia Licensed Behavior Analyst since 2018. Britney has worked in in-home settings, in private day schools, and with social skills groups in the community. She has worked with a variety of learners, from the ages of 2-18. Britney loves working with families and helping them bring the principles of ABA into their everyday life. 

Brett Wigley, MS, BCBA, LBA

BCBA Supervisor

Brett Wigley is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst from College Station, Texas. In 2015 he graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. While at JMU, Brett participated in research being conducted in both the Sleep and Actigraphy Lab, and the Animal Behavior Lab. Brett graduated with his Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Shenandoah University in 2018.   

Amanda Jean Baptiste, MS, BCBA, LBA

BCBA Supervisor

Amanda Jean Baptiste is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Virginia Licensed Behavior Analyst. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Shepherd University in 2014. When Amanda was introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis in 2015 she immediately recognized the impact it had made in the lives of her clients and she became passionate about sharing this knowledge with others. Amanda continued her education to earn a Master of Science in Behavior Analysis from Simmons University in 2019. Amanda has experience utilizing the principles of ABA with a variety of individuals, aged 3-21, in various settings including in-home, public school, private school, residential placement, and community and social settings. 

Lynda Elshaer, MS, BCBA, LBA

BCBA Supervisor

Lynda Elshaer is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who graduated from Shenandoah University with her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Bachelors in Psychology. Lynda has been working with children since she started working in 2011 and has been working with children with autism since 2015. She started in the field of ABA when she was introduced to it because it combined her love for psychology and working with children. Lynda enjoys using the principles of ABA to facilitate the growth of her clients. She has worked with children between the ages of 3 to 16 and takes joy in the progress she can bring to the families of clients she works with. 

Kelsey Preston, MA, RBT

Director of Early Intervention

Kelsey graduated from James Madison University with a Master's Degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education in 2014.  She taught both Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE Inclusion) and Kindergarten in Loudoun County Public Schools for 5 years. Kelsey joined the Behavioral Momentum team in April of 2018 as a Registered Behavior Technician and is currently working towards her certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Inclusive education is her true passion and she is excited about sharing it with the Behavioral Momentum community.

Tonya Edlow, M.Ed

Director of Employee Services

Tonya is a Behavior Technician who has worked in education for over seven years.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Education from Liberty University.  She is pursuing certification in ABA and OBM at the Florida Institute of Technology, with plans to become a BCBA.  She has worked in Early Childhood Development as an advocate, teacher and as a behavior specialist.  As a specialist, she has served children with special needs from birth to age six with direct support and intervention strategies.  Prior to a career in education and ABA, she worked seven years in banking and five years in management for major corporations.  Tonya’s desire is to see all children and adults succeed to their fullest potential by applying behavior analysis in diverse workplace settings in order to inspire positive organizational change.

Tara Kennedy

Office Manager

Tara Kennedy is the Office Manager for Behavioral Momentum. Tara began working in the childcare field 20 years ago as a young teen. She shifted her focus into the special needs community shortly after and has worked as a behavior technician for the last 5 years in private school settings. Tara has transitioned into the role of office manager which keeps her heart in the ABA field while implementing new skills of insurance billing and authorizing, managing office assistants, and client management and inquiries to name a few.

Tara moved to Loudoun County from Michigan in 2007. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and spending time with her husband, children, and dogs traveling the east coast camping, kayaking and fishing.
