Behavior Technician (Part-time and Full-time)

Location: Virginia

Behavioral Momentum is looking for full-time or part-time behavior technicians.  Behavior Technician is responsible for the implementation of his or her client’s academic programs and behavior programs. Behavioral Momentum services to families in both the home and community setting. Behavioral Momentum, LLC’s programming is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Verbal Behavior.  Behavioral Momentum provides trainings and free BCBA/BCaBA supervision.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst, BCBA (Full-time)

Location: Virginia

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Join a dynamic team at Behavioral Momentum, where we value ethical services and teamwork! The BCBA Supervisor works with a team of Behavioral Technicians and Program Coordinators to provide in-home ABA services for children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The BCBA Supervisor conducts initial intakes of new clients, creates appropriate treatment plans, trains RBTs on the implementation of plans, and provides frequent supervision and feedback. The BCBA Supervisor is also responsible for conducting parent training and school collaboration and consultation. The BCBA Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans and individual education plans for clients on their caseload. The BCBA Supervisor is required to adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts. The BCBA Supervisor maintains a monthly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Clinical Director. The BCBA Supervisor is eligible for all benefits, including health insurance and 401k!

Responsibilities:

  • Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, AFLS, etc.) and functional assessment measures

  • Develops individualized goals and objectives for home and community-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data

  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives

  • Trains Behavioral Technicians on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems

  • Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation

  • Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with Behavior Technicians

  • Meets regularly with Clinical Director and notifies her/him immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction

  • Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Clinical Director

  • Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours

  • Attends and conducts monthly training and team building activities

  • Participates in professional trainings as requested

Education Requirements

  • Master’s in behavior analysis or related field

  • Completion of BCBA Supervisory requirements,

  • BCBA certification and Virginia licensed professional

  • At least three years’ experience serving individuals with ASDs with a full range of skills and abilities

  • Strong knowledge and deep understanding of behavior analytic therapies

  • Experience with staff training and supervision

  • Must be able to work well as part of a team
